Suncare products: understanding the protection factor

On all suncare products, a number indicates the SPF (Sun Protection Factor). It represents the UVB protection index. Stéphane Douezan, Head of the Suncare Development Laboratory, interviewed by Pascale Mora, Director of Scientific Communication, explains the information on the packaging of a suncare product, such as SPF. There is also a logo with the UVA markings, surrounded by a small circle, which guarantees protection against UVA.
