TITANIUM DIOXIDE TREATED [CI 77891 / TITANIUM DIOXIDE (TREATED)]

Titanium dioxide occurs naturally as a mineral and is used in a wide range of cosmetics to brighten or whiten the look of a product and provide some protection against UV rays. In this ingredient the titanium dioxide has been treated with silica and alumina which is known to ensure more even dispersion of the pigment and to provide gloss to the final product. This ingredient also contains trimethylolpropane which can give the pigment a softer finish. Therefore this ingredient is popular in lipsticks.
