Pentasodium ethylenediamine tetramethylene phosphonate is a salt used mainly in sunscreen. It is known to chelate various metal ions and prevent their activity. Some of these ions can increase the harm caused to the skin by UV radiation.
Pentasodium ethylenediamine tetramethylene phosphonate will by removing these ions enhance the effects of the sunscreen and help protect the skin.
