MYRISTYL ALCOHOL [MYRISTYL ALCOHOL]

Myristyl alcohol is a multipurpose fatty alcohol used in personal care products such as shaving cream. It is known to form a protective layer on skin which prevents water loss, keeping the skin supple and moist. Myristyl alcohol also has stabilising properties, and can stabilise an emulsion and foam. Due to its fatty nature it can also be used to thicken or give body to a product.
