BULE 1 LAKE [CI 42090 / BLUE 1 LAKE]

Blue 1 lake is known to have a bright blue colour, and is used as a colouring agent in cosmetics and skincare products such as lipstick. “Lake” is use to denote that the Blue 1 pigment was precipitated with metal salts, to alter the solubility of the pigment.
